1 IA 82: H-1763 to SF 562, H-1763 to SF 562 - Safety Consultation Assistance: This amendment to Iowa Workforce Development budget to provide more safelty consultation services to Iowa businesses by transfering 7 new employees from the enforcement division to the consultation division of Iowa Occupational Safety and Health (IOSHA).

2 IA 82: H-2137 to SF 601, H-2137 to SF 601 - Commercial Property Tax Relief: Motion to suspend rules to consider amendment H-2137 to allocate $10 million from the state general fund to commercial property tax relief, add an additional $7 million to the state's portion of county mental health services, lessening the burden on local property taxes and set property tax collection limitations on cities and counties.

3 IA 82: HF 790, HF 790 - Association Health Insurance Pooling: This bill allows associations to offer members small group health insurance plan to help stabilize and reduce premiums. The bill allows premium credits for wellness and disease management.

4 IA 82: SF 413, SF 413 - Right to Work - Motion to Table: This bill takes away Right to Work freedom of Iowans by requiring school teachers, police officers, firefighters and other public employees to pay fees to unions even if they choose not to join the union in order to get or keep their jobs. Motion to table the bill for the remainder of the 2007 session.

5 IA 82: SF 427, SF 427 - Lawsuit Expansion - New Cause of Action: This bill creates new causes of action against employers exceeding federal law and the majority of states' standards by adding additional protected classes of citizens to the Iowa Civil Rights Act.

6 IA 82: SF 472, SF 472 - Regulation of Private Railroad Spurs: This bill authorizes the DOT to regulate railroad spurs on private property for close clearances and mandates warning devises.

7 IA 82: SF 538, SF 538 - Lawsuit Expansion - New Cause of Action: This bill creats new cause of action under Iowa law to allow parents to seek non-economic damages including loss of consortium or loss of services for an injury or death to an adult child.
